THERE is no doubt that in the business sector, the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) were the ones most affected during the pandemic. They were forced to close shop with the imposition of community quarantines and lockdowns that prevented a lot of people from going out, a measure meant to curb the spread of the virus but spelled disaster for SMEs who thrive on customer presence in order to survive.

Many turned to going online and entered the e-commerce sphere to sell their products and services, with the hope of enabling the business to survive.

That is why Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) expanded its digitized cash management solutions with complimentary e-services under a corporate promo called “Let’s Get Digital” to help SMEs adapt to the new ways of conducting business in the better normal.

Under the Let’s Get Digital (LGD) promo, SMEs availing of any one (1) of  RCBC’s two latest online collection solutions, called  PayPortal and CheckScan, shall also be entitled to avail of other digital cash management solutions for free.

These include Payroll, On-site Corporate Checkwriter, and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) payments through RCBC’s Online Corporate (ROC) banking platform. Payroll ADB, for up to 200 employees, shall be waived. Further, for the On-site Corporate Checkwriter, clients  get one (1) free checkbook per month for the next six months. All that the SME would have to do is to comply with the required maintaining balance for a checking account.

PayPortal, on the other hand, is a one-stop shop online payment enabler for businesses, which aids them in the collection of sales settled via e-commerce payments, whether they already have an online store or not. The payment platform then enables the business to collect from individual customers using comprehensive electronic payment rails, such as credit cards, direct debit through bank accounts, online banking, electronic wallets (e-wallets), and even over-the-counter payments.

Meanwhile, CheckScan is a first-in-market cash management solution that enables corporate clients to process bulk checks safely and efficiently through digitalization. Its more nimble counterpart, the mobile CheckScan is the newest feature, which allows businesses to process their check deposit transactions using their mobile devices.

RCBC First Senior Vice President and SME Banking Group Head Ma. Angela Tinio said the Yuchengco-led universal bank keeps looking for ways to make it easier and more affordable for businesses, especially SMEs, to digitalize their operations and have an efficient payment system.

“We know how hard it is to sustain a business operation during these tough times, and we hope that this offer will help encourage SMEs to avail of our bank’s cash management solutions, which will in turn help them improve their overall business operations,” Tinio added.

Let’s Get Digital is offered for a limited time only and will run until December 31, 2021.
