DA delivers P7M worth of Carabaos and Cattle for Taal-affected farmers

A total of 100 carabaos and 100 cattle worth P7 million given by the Department of Agriculture Region IV-A CALABARZON to Taal Recovery and Rehabilitation Program to affected farmers in the municipalities of Taal, San Jose and Malvar, Batangas province.

This is the part of ongoing support of Regional Office 4-A led by Regional Director Arnel de Mesa, Assistant Regional Director for Operations and Rice Program Coordinator Mr.Dennis Arpia and Assistant Regional Director for Research and Regulations and Regulations Livestock Program Coordinator Ms. Vilma Dimaculangan to provide alternative livelihood assistance to all Taal victims.

Almost 20 carabaos given to farmers of Lipa worth P700,000.00, 32 farmers in Mabini  worth P1.1 million, 80 carabaos in Laurel worth P2.8 million, 30 farmers from Taal received beef cattle head worth P1 million and San Jose beneficiary received 1 beef cattle worth P280,000.00.

And also 30 recipient farmer from Malvar received beef cattle head worth P1Million.

The local government of municipalities thank the Department of Agriculture IV-A through continues livelihood support of Taal –affected farmers.
