LOS BANOS, Laguna – A member of the Laguna Provincial Police Office (LPPO) who has gone Absence Without Official Leave (AWOL) was reportedly abducted by eight armed men in Los Banos, Laguna.
Laguna Provincial Police Office Director Col. Serafin Petalio II identified the victim as Michael Siervo, 34, a resident of Barangay San Antonio.
According to Petalio, an alias Angelo, the victim’s 26-year-old brother, sought police assistance when Siervo was suddenly taken away by force while walking along Barangay Batong Malaki around 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday.
Witnesses said that two unidentified armed men got off from two white vans in front of Siervo and forced him to get inside of a car before immediately sped off the scene.
Petalio added that Siervo went awol from his duty three years ago.
The police are still conducting a thorough investigation to resolve the incident.
