BULACAN police on Sunday presented to newly installed PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar the two arrested prime suspects in the double murder with rape of two minors found dead in a vacant grassy lot in Barangay Graceville in the City of San Jose Del Monte last Wednesday morning.
Bulacan Police Director Col. Lawrence Cajipe, in his report to PNP Chief Gen. Eleazar, the arrested suspects were identified as Romeo Ruzon, 41 years old, married and his stepson, a 17-year old and both neighbors of the victims.
The victims were an eight-year old boy and eleven-year old girl from Barangay Gumaok East, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
It was learned that the girl was found naked and believed to have been raped by the suspects when found lifeless around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday.
The victims are not related but childhood friends. Both were last seen playing with each other outside their homes.
Both victims were hit in their heads with a hard object causing their instant death, the police report said.
The next day, Mayor Arthur Robes offered a P100,000 cash reward for any information that will lead to the immediate arrest of the suspects.
Gen. Eleazar said that suspect Ruzon was arrested in Sampaloc, Manila while his stepson was nabbed in San Jose Del Monte.
The suspects are now detained at the San Jose Del Monte detention cell facing charges of “double murder with rape.”
