THE brother-and-sister team who are both of officials of controversial Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation were both arrested at the Davao City International Airport.
Mohit and Twinkle Dargania are now both detained at the Senate. They will remain under Senate custody until they are able to submit the necessary documents related to the government’s purchase of allegedly overpriced medical supplies.
The two were cited for contempt after failing to submit the documents to the Senate.
The two were nabbed by Senate security personnel at the Davao City airport before they were able to board a private chartered plane supposedly going to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Senate sergeant-at-arms Rene Samonte said the two were arrested at around 5 p.m.
“It was a short chase and we caught them. He was warned that if he will do that again, he will be handcuffed. From there, it turned okay and smooth,” Samonte added.
