AFTER a simple offering of flowers at Bonifacio’s shrine, the audience looked forward to President Rodrigo Duterte’s virtual message regarding the celebration.
According to Mayor Oca, although the celebration of Bonifacio Day this year was just simple due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tribute for Bonifacio’s bravery and greatness will remain for another 150 years onward.
“During this pandemic, we will continue to practice Bonifacio’s courage and concern for both Filipinos and country,” the mayor said in a message.
Also attended the celebration were AFP Lt. General Erickson Gloria, NPD Dir. Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan, Caloocan Police chief Col. Samuel Mina, BFP-Caloocan Supt. Aristotle Banyaga, Vice Mayor Maca Asistio, Coun. Enteng Malapitan, Coun. Lanz Almeda, City Administrator Oliver Hernandez and other Caloocan City government officials.
