ThE Bureau of Immigration (BI) is preparing deportation proceedings against the three foreign nationals involved in the so-called “Love Scam.”
This came after the arrest of three Nigerian nationals last week by operatives of Immigration Intelligence together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
According to Immigration Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan Jr., the three Nigerians target Filipinas online through flattery and loving words and then lure them to shell out large amounts of money and property.
It was also discovered that the three are already overstaying in the country and their visas have already expired.
Investigation against the three continues in order to identify their other accomplices, aside from their involvement with syndicates in South Africa that are involved in various scams.
