As Fire Prevention Month looms, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP ) Laguna, in partnership with SM Prime Holdings Inc. and SM City Calamba, mounted an exhibit about  firefighting, rescue and medical equipment, skills demonstration, and display of BFP uniforms and performances, which was held recently at SM City Calamba.

With the theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa!,” the exhibit aimed to generate awareness about observing proper measures in order to prevent fire in homes and other establishments, which is on the uptake during the dry months of the year, particularly April to May.

The event was graced by Fire Superintendent Emilio Langcay, Provincial Fire Director, BFP Laguna, and Senior Inspector Marc Christopher Pila, Regional Chief, Fire Safety Management Section.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is the primary agency mandated to prevent and suppress destructive fires, and strengthens its fire-safety campaigns for a safer and more resilient community by virtue Presidential Proclamation No.115-A.
