Quezon City, Philippines – Mayor Joy Belmonte has officially endorsed the senatorial candidacy of Camille Villar, who engaged with various concerned sectors in Quezon City on Monday as part of her campaign.
Expressing gratitude for the mayor’s support, Villar reaffirmed her commitment to championing the welfare of women, youth, and marginalized communities. She also vowed to advocate for improved healthcare services and better education opportunities for Filipinos.
During her visit, Villar participated in a Gender and Development Assembly organized by the Quezon City government. The event aimed to advance gender equality across different sectors, including education, employment, healthcare, and political participation.
In addition to addressing gender issues, Villar also met with representatives from the transport sector, particularly tricycle drivers and operators, to listen to their concerns and discuss potential solutions to improve their livelihood and working conditions.
Thanking Mayor Belmonte for her unwavering support, Villar assured the people of Quezon City that, if elected to the Senate, she would remain dedicated to serving their needs and pushing for meaningful reforms.
Quezon City remains one of the most vote-rich cities in Metro Manila, with 1,382,018 registered voters, according to the latest records from the Commission on Elections.
