Bataan town mayor cites more additional investments after Belt and Road Summit 2020

HERMOSA, Bataan- While the whole nation observed “Bonifacio Day,” Mayor Jopet Inton of this town was busy with the virtual “Belt and Road Summit 2020,” in his bid to invite investors to propel the continuing progress of this first-class municipality.

The theme for this year’s summit was “A business vision for sustainable and inclusive future.”

Mapalad ang ating Bayan dahil sa pamamagitan ni Mayor Jopet, kabilang ang Bayan ng Hermosa sa Business Matching na ginagawa ng BELT AND ROAD upang makakalap ng investors para makatulong sa ekonomiya ng Hermosa (our town was lucky because through Mayor Jopet, Hermosa is included in the Business Matching held during the Belt and Road to welcome investors who can help boost the economy of Hermosa),” the town’s Facebook Fan Page posted.

Organized by Hong Kong’s Special Administrative Region, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Belt and Road Summit is a premier international platform for promoting business collaboration along the Belt and Road.

The summit brings together senior government officials, representatives of international institutions, business leaders and industry experts from countries along and beyond the Belt and Road to exchange views on multilateral cooperation and explore new business opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative, a massive infrastructure project that would stretch from East Asia to Europe. It is supported by leading business leaders and media representatives not only in Asia but from around the world.

At the same time, Mayor Inton also joined a virtual meeting with a potential investor, Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Co. Ltd.
Located along the strategic area of Subic and Clark corridor, its proximity to Metro Manila via the SCTEx and NLEX, Hermosa is an ideal investment location and also the host to the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park (HEIP) where more than 15 thousand workers are employed.

HEIP is one of the 300 economic zones that employ almost a million Filipinos nationwide. It is under the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) whose law was authored by former Bataan Congressman Felicito Payumo.
