Bataan police organizes Bataan Candidates’ Forum

THE Bataan Police Provincial Office (PPO) gathered yesterday the mayoralty and vice-mayoralty candidates, where they were provided the perfect platform to air their plans and answer questions thrown at them concerning their vision for their respective jurisdictions.

Three panelists consisting of known personalities from the business, academe and media were present to “grill” the candidates. They were Joanne Lobrino, President-elect of the Rotary Club of Balanga and Associate Professor IV from the Hospitality Management, College of Business and Accountancy of the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU); Bryan Santos, Supervising Administrative Officer/OIC Director of the Bataan School for the Arts, and Mhike Cigaral, Central Luzon Reporter for DZXL 558 RMN Manila, Bataan Correspondent of iOrbitNews, FrontpagePH.com, radio anchor at Poweradio 104.5FM and senior writer of 1Bataan News. 

Present among the mayoralty candidates were Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton, Limay Mayor Nelson David, Samal Mayor Aida Macalinao, Abucay Vice Mayor Robin Tagle, businessman Alex Acuzar (Samal mayoralty candidate), former Limay Mayor and candidate Ver Roque, together with his wife, Bataan 2nd District congressional candidate Laissa Roque, BM Rey Ibe (Orani mayoralty candidate), and Orion Mayor Antonio Raymundo Jr.

For the vice-mayoralty bets, present were Dr. Kaye Alonzo-Gaza of Hermosa, Roy Samson and Jayson Marcelo of Abucay, Engr. Budz Santos of Pilar, Vice Mayor Richie David and Obet Roque from Limay, and Coun. Ronnie Ortiguerra of Samal.

The Bataan Candidates’ Forum 2022 was organized by the Bataan PPO, in partnership with the Bataan Provincial Advisory Council, the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines Bataan Chapter, Lions Club, Rotary Club and the Department of Education.

“This event is among the programs of the Task Group for Police Community Relations. This is just one of the activities for conflict mediation and diffusion process for us to be assured that the candidates will faithfully express their platform in running for a political position,” according to Bataan Police Director, Police Col. Romell Velasco.
