Back to the more than 9,000 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, according to the latest bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH).
In the DOH’s COVID-19 Case Bulletin #390, new COVID-19 cases reached 9,216 today, which brings the overall total of COVID-19 cases in the country to 828,366.
Meanwhile, 598 cases were reported as recoveries, which ups the total of recoveries to 646,968 ever since the pandemic hit the country last year.
On the other hand, the number of deaths today reached 60, making the total number of deaths due to the disease to reach the 14,119 level.
Active cases were recorded at 167,279, with 97.6 percent tagged as mild cases while 1.2 percent were asymptomatic.
With the continuing increase in COVID-19 cases, the DOH continues to remind the public to immediately isolate and coordinate with the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTS) upon the onset of COVID-19 symptoms.
The public can also call the COVID-19 hotline 894-COVID(26843) or via 1555 and seek appropriate medical assistance and other needs regarding the symptoms.
