MORE than a year into distance learning, Filipino students and teachers continue to struggle as they are faced with a new and unfamiliar learning environment. But a new set of struggles also present new opportunities to maximize existing technologies for education.

With that in mind, Edukasyon.PH and ASUS have partnered to come up with a program that will provide educators with the right tools they need to keep teaching and guiding students through the online setup.

The ASUS Edukasyon School Partner Program is set to bridge gaps in remote learning through a holistic, tech-forward approach. Among the benefits ASUS partner-schools will receive is a Yearly School Development Fund to help boost their respective IT facilities and education programs. They also have several offers for students and instructors, including tech learning seminars, internship opportunities, and exclusive discounts on ASUS products.

While distance learning has been tough as it is, there’s no telling how much tougher it could get in the coming months. To help address this, we need to help the ecosystem – not only students/teachers,” said Edukasyon.ph CEO Grace David.

As the largest education tech platform in the country, Edukasyon.PH aims to tap into the IT departments of each school to assist in their skills-building and digital transformation efforts.

Rounding off the partnership is ASUS, a go-to brand for reliable and affordable gadgets for online learning over the past year. Before and after the pandemic, it has already partnered with local movements to provide laptops and other devices to various public schools.

ASUS believes that no aid is too small to make a difference. That’s why we recognize the value even just one quality device has in shaping a child’s future,“ shared George Su, Country Manager for ASUS Philippines, in a statement sent to FrontpagePH.com.

Through the program, ASUS will be highlighting their best and latest laptop for K-12 learning, the ASUS BR1100. It comes in two models—the ASUS BR1100C, a clamshell non-touch version; and the ASUS BR1100F, a premium flip version with touch-enabled display. Built for durable, all-around use, the ASUS BR1100 is an educational laptop with a military-standard design and features suited for online learning.

Edukasyon.PH has worked with hundreds of schools, corporations, and foundations to continuously engage our student community,” said David. “This partnership with ASUS makes sure the entire ecosystem is supported.”

To kick off the initiative, Edukasyon.ph and ASUS will host a free live webinar this July 8 at 1:30 PM.
