ALMOST 50 vehicles were towed and impounded by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in a clearing operation conducted by the agency this morning along Felix Huertas Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
Among those impounded by the MMDA were illegally parked vehicles along the road, including motorcycles.
These vehicles will be brought to the MMDA impounding area in Pasay City where they can be redeemed by their owners.
Some of the vehicle owners cried foul over the operation since they claimed they are paying overnight parking fees to parking attendants in the area.
However, the MMDA explained that Felix Huertas Street is not a parking area since the street goes all the way through Rizal Avenue.
