LAGUNA — A grandmother was killed in front of his 12-year old grandson by armed men while watching television, Thursday evening.
Police investigator Colonel Mark Francis Sampaga identified the victim as Barbara Cynthia Buzon, 77-years old of Brgy. Ibabang Sungi, Liliw, Laguna.
Based on the initial information, the victim was watching TV around 7:30 pm inside her Nipa hut when unidentified armed men forcibly entered the house and shot Buzon.
The victim sustained ten gunshot wounds in different parts of her body and brought to the nearest hospital at Nagcarlan District Hospital for immediate treatment but she was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Possible motives are still under investigation while a follow up operation against the suspects is ongoing.
