Filipino actor Arjo Atayde won the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2020 virtual ceremony held yesterday
Atayde won for his performance as Benjo Malaya in iWant Originals 2019 digital series “Bagman.”
In his acceptance speech, he acknowledged ABS-CBN, his family and his fellow Filipino actors. He was also thankful to Dreamscape Entertainment, Rein Entertainment and director-writer Shugo Praivo for giving him the opportunity.
“Bagman” is about a barber named Benjo and his journey when he entered the dirty side of politics. It is available on the streaming app iWant.
Maine Mendoza also tweeted his congratulatory message and referred to herself as the actor’s biggest fan.
