PRESIDENT-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. designated Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesperson Colonel Ramon Zagala as acting senior military assistant acting commander of the Presidential Security Group (PSG).
This information was confirmed by AFP Public Affairs Office chief Colonel Jorry Baclor.
Zagala graduated from the Armed Forces of the Philippines Training Center Officer Candidate School “Balikatan” Class 12 of 1994.
He confirmed receipt of his appointment and will start with his new duty starting June 30, 2022 at the same time as the inauguration and formal assumption of Marcos as the country’s 17th president.
Zagala is slated for confirmation by the Commission on Appointments once the recommendation for him to be promoted as general is received.
