THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) today launched what it called the Anti-Corruption Committee.
AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Andres Centino led the oath-taking of officials and members of the committee held at the AFP General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo.
According to Lt. Gen. Centino, the committee will further strengthen the fight against corruption and the establishment of accountability and transparency within the ranks of the military.
He said the establishment of the committee was a result of the signing of the AFP of the Memorandum of Agreement under “Project Kasangga” of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC).
The operation of the committee will be supervised by the AFP Office of Ethical Standards and Public Accountability (OESPA).
