Navotas sends aid to Mabini, Batangas

The Navotas city government sent 100 sacks (50 kilos per sack) of rice to Mabini town in Batangas.

The relief operation was conducted by Navotas after Mabini Municipal Administrator Atty. Gerville R. Luistro sought the help of the city.

“Though our city is still grappling with the effects of the pandemic, we still fare better compared to others. For this, we are thankful and we want to help those in need as much as we can,” Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

At the same time, Navotas also sent help to other local government units that were severely affected by typhoons Quinta, Rolly and Ulysses.

Mabini, Batangas has an estimated population of about 100,000 people.

Prior to this, the Navotas city government already sent food packs that contain rice, canned goods, instant coffee, instant noodles, bottled water; mats and blankets, and other materials to the province of Cagayan.

The city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also helped in rescue and relief operations in the province and in Marikina City.
