Gov’t Agencies, MYEG Partner to Digitize PRC Fees, Tax Payments

In a major move to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks for millions of Filipino professionals, the national government has formalized a strategic quadripartite partnership aimed at fully digitalizing the payment systems of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The landmark Quadripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) brings together the PRC, the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr), the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK), and electronic services pioneer MYEG Philippines, Inc. (MYEG PH). The collaboration integrates MYEG PH’s Electronic Payment and Collection System (EPCS) directly into the PRC’s Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS).

Beyond standard processing fees, the initiative stands as a pioneering implementation of the Electronic Documentary Stamp Tax (eDST) for PRC transactions.

The agreement was signed by top executives and state officials, including MYEG PH Chief Executive Officer Ann Margaret T. Saldaña, PRC Chairperson Atty. Charito A. Zamora, BTr Treasurer Sharon P. Almanza, and LANDBANK Assistant Vice President Apollo DC. Velasco. Deputy Treasurer of the Philippines Eduardo Anthony G. Mariño III and LANDBANK First Vice President Nardo M. Masa were also present to witness the ceremony.

Through this digital integration, professionals and aspiring board examinees nationwide can now settle payments for licensure examinations, initial registrations, license renewals, and certifications via an expansive network of 100,000 physical and digital payment channels.

The payment ecosystem supports interoperable QRPh transactions through major banking applications including UnionBank, Metrobank, Chinabank, Security Bank, GoTyme, MariBank, and AllBank. Additionally, applicants can utilize e-wallets such as GCash, Maya, ShopeePay, PalawanPay, and GrabPay, as well as traditional credit and debit cards.

For citizens favoring over-the-counter transactions, physical payment points have been activated at 7-Eleven, Cebuana Lhuillier, Bayad, Palawan Pawnshop, USSC, and retail counters at SM and Robinsons department stores.

According to the participating institutions, the multi-agency rollout directly supports the national government’s mandate on the ease of doing business.

PRC leadership noted that the migration to a modern payment ecosystem aligns with ongoing state initiatives to improve public service delivery. Meanwhile, fiscal officials from the BTr emphasized that establishing inclusive and interoperable digital ecosystems enhances transparency, accountability, and efficiency in national revenue collections.

LANDBANK representatives reconfirmed the state lender’s commitment to advancing financial inclusion, ensuring secure financial transactions remain accessible to citizens anytime and anywhere.

The rollout further establishes MYEG PH’s role as a primary digital government service provider in the country, expanding its twenty-year track record of automation and electronic payment deployment across the region.
