QCPD nets 225 suspects in weeklong anti-crime drive

QUEZON CITY — Intensified operations by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) from August 3 to 9, 2025, led to the arrest of 225 individuals, including 84 drug suspects, 83 wanted persons, 54 illegal gamblers, and four suspects for illegal possession of firearms.

QCPD Officer-in-Charge and District Director for Administration, PCOL Randy Glenn Silvio, reported that the operations were part of the district’s strengthened anti-illegal drugs and anti-criminality campaign across the city.

In its anti-drug efforts, the QCPD carried out 51 operations, resulting in the arrest of 84 suspects and the seizure of illegal drugs worth ₱1,113,590.

Authorities also nabbed 83 wanted persons, including 38 Most Wanted and 45 Other Wanted individuals. Notable arrests include:

Alias “Rhealyn”, wanted for violating R.A. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act), who evaded arrest for 10 years.

Alias “Maximo”, wanted for R.A. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004), hiding for eight years.

Alias “Junaid”, wanted for R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), hiding for eight years.

Alias “Jayson”, wanted for R.A. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000), hiding for eight years.

Alias “Christopher”, the No. 2 Most Wanted Person of PS 2, wanted for rape, hiding for six years.

Four separate operations against illegal firearms resulted in the recovery of four guns and the arrest of four individuals.

Meanwhile, 28 operations against illegal gambling led to the arrest of 54 gamblers and the confiscation of ₱27,746 in bet money.

Charges have been filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for violations of R.A. 9165, R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and P.D. 1602 (Illegal Gambling).

PCOL Silvio lauded his personnel for their “relentless fight” against crime, assuring residents of swift and active police service under the NCRPO’s “Triple A” Program — Able, Active, and Allied.

Quoting the Chief PNP, he reminded the public: “Mga mahal naming kababayan, huwag na kayong maghanap ng pulis sa presinto sapagkat kami ay nasa inyo nang telepono. Tumawag sa 911 at darating kami sa loob ng limang minuto.”
