Luna wins over Gordon Ramsay during Manila visit with heartwarming gesture

During his recent visit to Manila, world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay shared a heartwarming moment with nine-year-old Luna, as captured on Judy Ann Santos’ Instagram account. Luna presented Ramsay with her drawings, and in a sweet exchange, the culinary icon requested her autograph.

“That makes it even better,” Ramsay said with a smile as Luna signed her name. “Thank you, Luna. I love that,” he added, giving her a high-five. Luna couldn’t hide her excitement as Ramsay walked away, leaving her beaming with joy.

Ramsay’s Manila visit included a variety of activities, highlighting his love for Filipino cuisine and culture. He hosted a “MasterChef”-inspired segment where contestants, including Judy Ann Santos, food content creator Ninong Ry, and culinary students, were tasked to create their versions of the classic Filipino dessert, Halo-Halo.

The celebrity chef also got a taste of local innovation, sampling a Beef Wellington Lumpia prepared by Lumpia Queen Abi Marquez. Additionally, he collaborated with content creators Niana Guerrero and Ranz Kyle for a fun dance video and visited a bustling fish market in Quezon City.

Ramsay, whose first restaurant in the Philippines, the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, opened in 2024 at Newport World Resorts’ Grand Wing, revealed plans to open three more establishments in the country.

His Manila trip not only showcased his culinary adventures but also underscored his enthusiasm for engaging with Filipino talent and flavors.
