THE COVID-19 positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) went up by 16 percent and is expected to rise even further.

According to the independent OCTA Research Group, the 14.6-percent positivity rate in the NCR was reported Friday morning.

Positivity rate is the percentage of individuals who test positive for COVID-19 based on the number of individuals tested.

Meanwhile, OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David said the growth rate of new COVID-19 cases went down to 15 percent.

The average daily attack rate (ADAR), on the other hand, is at 6.43 daily for every 100,000 population.

OCTA added that the healthcare utilization rate (HCUR) in the region reached 34 percent and ICU occupancy is at 26 percent.

Both are still below 50 percent,” according to David.
