A FATHER, including his two kids, died in a drowning incident in Sitio Luyo, Barangay Casian, Taytay, Palawan.
The victims were identified as Alwin Latube, 38 years old, Faith Arnold Latube, 8 years old, and Faith Arvin Latube, 6 years old.
In a statement by Rose Latube, Alwin’s sister, it was around past 9 a.m. when the father and his kids left the house to have the engine of their motorized banca fixed.
Around 1 p.m. when the victims were seen aboard their banca but before they went home, they left their boat in a deeper portion of the ocean so it won’t be reached by low tide once it sets in and to prepare for fishing during the night time.
The three swam to reach the shore but the weather suddenly went bad and the three were swamped with large ocean waves.
It was past 6:30 p.m. when the victims were found dead by the sea shore.
