A PRIEST reported missing for the past two days was finally found in Silang, Cavite.
The missing priest was found inside his vehicle, hogtied and unconscious
Rev. Father Leoben Peregrino y Octavo, 58 years old was earlier reported to be missing, and was last seen at Rosario, Cavite in the morning of April 1, 2022.
Octavo is the parish priest of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary-Reina de Caracol of Barangay Poblacion in the town of Rosario.
According to Police Lt. Col Ruther Saquilayan, chief of the Rosario Municipal Police Station, Fr. Octavo was found hogtied inside his Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number VES 470.
The priest earlier left on Friday going to Imus, Cavite to buy candles but failed to return, until he was was found at around 1 pm Sunday, April 3, 2022.
Fr. Octavo is currently confined in a private hospital in Sta Rosa, Laguna for much-needed medical attention.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
