THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) said it will allow the filing and payment of 2021 income tax returns until April 18, 2022.
This is three days late compared to the traditional April 15 deadline of income tax filing and payments every year.
In a BIR Bulletin, BIR Commissioner Cesar Dulay said this is because April 15 fell on Good Friday, which is a national holiday.
Dulay, however, reminded authorized banks to receive tax payments up to 5 pm on April 18.
