THREE identified drug personalities, including two girls, were nabbed after yielding more than P.4 million woth of shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Malabon City midnight of yesterday.
Malabon police chief Col. Albert Barot identified the arrested suspects as Lynne Matin-ao alias “Maya,” 21 years old, Coney Soria, 46 years old, and Raymond Gaspar, 28 years old, all residents of Navotas City.
Col. Barot said that around 2:40 a.m., operatives of the Malabon Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), under the direction of PLt. Alexander Dela Cruz, conducted the buy-bust operation at Womens Club St., Brgy. Hulong Duhat, Malabon City after receiving information from an informant about Matin-ao’s drug-selling activities in the area.
A cop who acted as poseur-buyer was able to transact with Matin-ao P3,500 worth of shabu.
When the suspected accepted the marked money from the poseur-buyer in exchange for one plastic sachet of shabu, she was immediately arrested by police operatives, including Soria and Gaspar, supposedly both customers of Matin-ao.
Recovered from Matin-ao was one sling bag that contains 13 pieces of transparent plastic sachets of alleged shabu, while one plastic sachet each that allegedly contain shabu were yielded by Soria and Gaspar.
PMsgt. Randy Billedo said more or less 65.20 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P443,360 and buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects.
The suspects now face charges of violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
