PRC to conduct 90 licensure exams for 2022

DESPITE the continued threat of COVID-19, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that they are set to conduct about 90 licensure examinations for the year 2022.

In an advisory, the PRC said the examinations to be conducted are both “computer-based licensure exam” (CBLE) and pen-and-paper tests.

Included in the schedule of examination are those for physicians, nurses, medical technologists, dentists and teachers.

Meanwhile, the PRC reported that up to 61 licensure examinations were conducted in 2021 although these came with many restrictions or precautionary measures implemented by the government due to the pandemic.

This include the declaration of community quarantines that is why many of the licensure examinations scheduled last year were suspended.

But based on data from January to December 2021, the PRC said there were 143,680 examinees and 69,312 passed the examinations.

The PRC is still continuing the counting while they are awaiting the results of other licensure exams.
