OLYMPIC golden girl Hidilyn Diaz continues to bask in her winning the country’s first Olympic gold, as she continues to receive fitting rewards for her ultimate sacrifice to reach the dream Olympic glory of many Filipinos.
Aside from winning in the game, Hidilyn is also winning in life now as she receives monetary incentives, a condo unit, and today she got her golden car.
“A golden girl gets her golden car! Hidilyn Diaz takes her brand-new Kia Stonic for a test drive,” said in the Facebook post of Ayala Foundation.
In a photo posted by Ayala Foundation on their Facebook page, the weightlifter seems contented and ready to drive her car around the city. Winning the gold medal for the country, Diaz is recognized as “Atletang Magiting” by the Ayala Foundation, a gold-colored car pledged by AC Motors and Kia Philippines.
Along with the car, Hidilyn also received P10 million from the MVP Sports Foundation with another P3 million from 1Pacman party-list Rep. Mikee Romero, among other pledges of monetary rewards.
Philippine and Olympic golden girl Hidilyn stands to receive more cash and non – cash incentives, including the two houses and lots, a condominium unit and free lifetime flights with Philippine Airlines (80,000 miles per year) and AirAsia Philippines.
The government will also give her P10 million, an incentive under Republic Act 10699 or National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act, another P10 million from the San Miguel Corporation, and P2.5 million from her hometown of Zamboanga City, among others.
