An additional 8,276 new COVID-19 cases were recorded today according to latest data from the Department of Health (DOH).

This brings total COVID-19 cases in the Philippines to 1,028,738 based on the DOH COVID-19 Case Bulletin #411 issued today, 29 April 2021.

Meanwhile, only 6,636 recoveries were registered to bring the tally of recoveries to a 942,239 total.

There were also 114 deaths which brings up to 17,145 total number of deaths from COVID-19.

Active cases were at 69,354 wherein 94.9 percent are mild cases with 1.6 percent considered asymptomatic.

The DOH emphasized that a critical part of everyone’s safety is based on strict compliance and dissemination of correct information, especially with regard to the use of medicines and other modes of treatment.

The DOH further advised to prevent the spread of the virus in the homes and to immediately contact the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) once COVID-19 symptoms are felt.
