7’3″ full-blooded young Filipino basketball prodigy Kai Sotto will go the land down under to showcase his skills.
Sotto, who was in the line-up of Team Ignite in the NBA G-League this year, will be headed to the Adelaide 36ers in Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL) under the Special Restricted Player rule provision.
He signed to a two-year contract, beginning with the 2021-2022 season and has an option for a third year.
Sotto was not able to formally play in the NBA G-League due to conflict of schedule with the Gilas Pilipinas games in the Philippines which was later deferred due to the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
