CAMP TIRSO H. GADOR, Tuguegarao City – THROUGH the continuous effort of police forces in advocating the government’s program in rescuing its people who once went astray and were associated with the insurgents, another twenty-nine (29) Communist Terrorist Group Front Organization members voluntarily submitted themselves to authorities.
According to the report, the surrender of CTGFO’ members was stemmed from the collaborative efforts of the Anakpawis members who previously surrendered in Alcala Police Station together with the joint elements of the Provincial Community Affairs Development Unit under Police Lt. Col. Emil Q Pajarlo, Provincial Intelligence Unit under Police Major Joefferson Gannaban, 1st PMFC, 2nd MFP Baggao Cagayan and Alcala PS.
It was revealed that all 29 were recruited by one Isabelo Adviento guaranteeing them to help in their problems likewise to voice out their complaints against the government and other related issues and concerns of the marginalized sector. Further, said group also participated in several rallies and/or pulong-pulong undertaken by CTGFO officers led by Adviento who gave them the assurance in resolving their problems regarding land dispute over their property located at Brgy Agani, Alcala.
Their organization “Anak Pawis” was renamed into “Anak Ti Mannalon” Agani Chapter with the supervision of Police Col. Orlan Capili, Acting, Chief of Police. At present, said anew “Anak Ti Mannalon” simultaneously conducts their election of officers and then became members of the Advocacy Group of this municipality.
PNP Chief General Guillermo Eleazar and Police Brig. General Crizaldo Nieves, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office 2 commended Cagayan Provincial Police Office under the leadership of Police Col. Ariel Quilang for the mission success, a job well done.
