Bring Christmas joy to children with “SM Bears of Joy 2021”

GIVING teddy bears has become a traditional Yuletide gift for people around the world, including the Philippines. Some people see them as a vital part of a child growing up, where they often see these fluffy stuffed toys as a companion, one that brings comfort and joy or sometimes, a willing imaginary friend who will listen.

This is why SM Cares, SM Supermalls and Toy Kingdom are again inviting SM shoppers to share the holiday cheer this year with children in need with the return of its long-running charity project, the “SM Bears of Joy,” and bring much-needed smiles to children during the Christmas season.

All mall shoppers have to do is to buy a pair of specially designed bear plushies. The best thing about this is they can keep one for themselves, while the other will be donated to children in various communities across the country. Priced at P250 the plushies will be available in select SM Malls nationwide and through the online stores of Toy Kingdom and The SM Store from November 12 to December 25, 2021.

This year’s collection features designs inspired by four of the most common interests and pandemic hobbies that many Filipinos took up significantly during the pandemic. They are Cookie the Baker Bear, Sunny the Plant Lover Bear, Cammy the Vlogger Bear, and Journey the Biker Bear.

Every year, we encourage our shoppers to remember the importance of charity, sharing, and giving, especially during Christmas.  The unwavering participation and support of SM customers have impacted the lives of countless children in need. We hope to continue seeing that in the years to come,” said Joaquin San Agustin, Senior Vice President of SM Supermalls.

SM Cares is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, with programs to support communities and promote social inclusion and care for the environment. Its CSR advocacies include Programs for the Environment, Persons with Disabilities, Women & Breastfeeding Mothers, Children & Youth, Senior Citizens, and the creation of bike-friendly SM Malls across the country.
