25 kilos of marijuana worth P3 million seized by QC police

OPERATIVES from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized an estimated 25 kilos of suspected marijuana from a buy-bust operation in the city.

QCPD Director, Police Brigadier General Antonio Yarra, identified the suspect as Joseph Ang, 22 years old, from Caloocan City.

Police Major Wennie Ann Cale, officer-in-charge of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), said the confiscated marijuana from the buy-bust operation conducted at the Old Capitol site in Elliptical Road has an estimated price of about P3 million.

The marijuana blocks were stored in a big ecobag. Ang was immediately arrested after transacting with an operative who acted as poseur-buyer.

The suspect will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 o the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
