2 most notorious wanted persons nabbed in Negros Occidental

CAUAYAN, Negros Occidental – JOINT elements of the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police (PNP) successfully arrested two of the most notorious wanted persons in Negros Occidental in an intense manhunt operation in the municipality of Ilog.

The suspects identified as Vicente Lamintac y Permaran, considered the Top no. 1 most wanted person, 26 years old and Junel Abendan y Rivera, 34, the Top no. 2 most wanted person, were cornered in their hiding place at Sitio Mahayag, Barangay Dancalan.

Permaran and Rivera were arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for “Robbery with Homicide” with no bail recommended issued by Hon. Walter G Zorilla, Judge Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 55, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental dated March 4, 2020.

Arrested persons were brought to Himamaylan Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

Meanwhile, the commander of the Army’s 15th Infantry (Molave Warrior) Battalion headed by Lt. Col. Erwin Cariño, said, “The successful operation resulted from the joint intel-driven operation and collaboration of all Law Enforcement Agency.”

“The 15IB, together with other law enforcement counterparts and as the protector of the state, will remain vigilant to anyone who was trying to destroy the peace and order of Negros.” Cariño further added.
