THE Yemeni Armed Forces conducted a high-level military operation in the Red Sea as part of their ongoing support for Gaza and its Resistance, in retaliation against Israeli-US-UK aggression targeting Yemen.
In a coordinated effort, the missile and drone units of the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and its accompanying warships in the northern Red Sea, deploying a barrage of missiles and drones, according to Al Mayadeen.
The confrontation, which lasted approximately nine hours, successfully achieved its objectives, forcing the aircraft carrier to retreat to the northernmost point of the Red Sea and abandon its designated area of operations. A statement from the Yemeni Military Media confirmed the success of the mission.
This marks the fifth time the aircraft carrier has been targeted since its deployment to the Red Sea.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, emphasized the military’s readiness to respond to any escalation by the United States or the Israeli regime. He reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and their struggle against Israeli occupation.
Yemen has openly declared its support for Palestine since October 7, when Palestinian Resistance factions launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in retaliation against Israeli aggression. The ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza has claimed over 27,948 lives and injured more than 67,459 individuals.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their operations until Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza are brought to an end. Additionally, the United States and Britain announced the formation of a military coalition in December to target Yemen in alignment with their support for Israel.
