Tropical Storm “Siony” remained stationary while over in the Philippine Sea.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical, Astronomical Space Administration’s (Pagasa) weather bulletin, at 5 a.m. today, Wednesday, November 4, “Siony” was last spotted 700 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes.
Packing maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 1-5 kilometers per hour.
Slow moving while approaching towards direction in South Southwest.
The weather bureau agency said tomorrow night or on Friday the center of the typhoon could be over the Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
Expected to intensify as it approaches Batanes and Babuyan Islands and become a severe tropical storm in the next 24 hours.
Pagasa raised the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal number 1 in the northeastern portion mainland Cagayan including the cities of Santa Ana and Gonzaga and the eastern portion of the Babuyan Islands.
A trough of the storm will bring light to moderate and torrential rain over Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and eastern portions of Cagayan and Isabela.
