SENATOR Imee “Solusyon” Marcos led the inauguration of a new day care center in Barangay Pag-Asa, Olongapo City, on Saturday morning.
Funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and implemented by the city government, the facility aims to provide quality early childhood education and development services for children below elementary school age.

Mayor Lenj Paulino, who welcomed Marcos during her visit, shared that the two-story early childhood development center was constructed in just two months. The project is part of the city’s efforts to enhance educational infrastructure for young learners.
Present at the inauguration and turnover ceremony were Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) Director Rolen Paulino, DSWD officials, and other local government leaders.
As part of the event, Senator Marcos distributed toys and food to the day care students and other children in the barangay.

She also visited the Nutrijeep parked at the Barangay Hall basketball court, which provides supplemental nutrition for children.
Earlier in the day, Marcos joined local Zumba enthusiasts at Marikit Park for her “Zumbarangay” project, which promotes physical activity as a key to maintaining health.
She expressed joy in seeing senior citizens participate in the event, emphasizing the importance of staying active.
“Olongapo City will always have a special place in my heart, which is why I love visiting this city,” Marcos said.
She assured residents that more projects aimed at improving their quality of life are in the pipeline.
