Quezon City Police District (QCPD) officials, led by PCOL Melecio Buslig announced the arrest of three drug suspects and the confiscation of 203.58 grams of shabu worth over ₱1.3 million in two separate buy-bust operations on February 18, 2025.
In the first operation, DDEU operatives under PMAJ Elvin Ballesteros, in coordination with Talipapa Police Station (PS-3), arrested Michelle Garcia, 38, and Junel Cantera, 19, both residents of Balon-Bato, Quezon City. The sting, conducted at 6:05 PM in Barangay Balon-Bato, involved an undercover officer purchasing ₱60,000 worth of shabu. Upon the pre-arranged signal, authorities arrested the suspects and seized 103.58 grams of shabu valued at ₱703,344, along with the buy-bust money. Investigation revealed that one of the suspects had a prior drug-related offense in 2022.
Later, at 11:45 PM, PS-5 operatives led by PLTCOL Geronimo Dimayuga Jr. conducted another buy-bust operation at Unit 1, Ilocos Norte Street, Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, resulting in the arrest of Vladimir Delasan, 38. Authorities recovered 100 grams of shabu worth ₱680,000, a caliber .45 firearm with live ammunition, a Suzuki Burgman motorcycle, a mobile phone, and the buy-bust money. The ISAV system confirmed Delasan had a similar drug-related offense in 2023.
The suspects will face charges for violating R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), while Delasan will also be charged under R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and the Omnibus Election Code (BP No. 881).
