The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that the Oversees Filipino’s (OFs) who are infected by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) raised to 10, 534 with 27 new reported cases.
The DFA also announced that total recoveries and fatalities remained at 6,727 and 792, respectively.
At present, there are 3,015 Filipino nationals abroad still undergoing treatment.
“To date, the total number of countries and regions with confirmed cases among Filipinos remains at 78,” the DFA said.
Based on data from the DFA, a total of 1,429 cases was reported in the Asia and the Pacific region. Of this, 366 are still undergoing treatment, 1,055 have recovered, and eight have died.
The Middle East or Africa has, meanwhile, reported 7,097 cases with 2,316 patients undergoing treatment. The region has reported 4,270 recoveries and 511 fatalities.
In Europe, there were 1,199 cases recorded. A total of 166 patients in the region are still undergoing treatment while 938 have recovered and 95 have succumbed to the illness.
Meanwhile, a total of 809 cases were recorded in the Americas with 167 patients still undergoing treatment, 464 recoveries, and 178 fatalities.
