MONDE Nissin Corporation (MONDE), a global food and beverages company headquartered in the
Philippines, achieved a milestone recognition recently when its Quality Assurance Laboratory at their Sta. Rosa plant was awarded the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification for their Microbiology Laboratory.
The recognition received by the facility makes it the first Monde laboratory to attain this certification.
In a statement, the company said the recognition is a firm testament to Monde Nissin’s unwavering dedication and commitment to maintaining the highest standards in food safety and quality.
“This accomplishment demonstrates the world-class competency of the company’s analysts and demonstrates Monde Nissin’s commitment to consumer safety” said Elvie Mensalvas, Head of Monde Nissin Quality Assurance Department, who received the award together with her team.
Michelle Esteban, Division Chief, Laboratory Accreditation Division – Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Ella Antonio, PAB Accreditation Officer, awarded the certification last September 25, 2023.
The accreditation does not only offer reliable, cost-effective in-house analyses but is also a testament to the years of hard work and preparation towards achieving the highest recognition of competence for testing laboratories, Mensalvas explained.
“This newly awarded accreditation is a significant milestone that has far-reaching benefits for both the company and the public. It solidifies our position as a trusted player in the industry and underscores Monde Nissin’s dedication to making better possible,” added Mensalvas.
