MANKAYAN, Benguet — A renewed sense of hope now rises across the highland communities of Benguet as M-ACTO Transport Corporation officially launched its tourism transport service on November 29, 2025, in Am-Am, Mankayan.
The initiative aims to ease the long-standing transportation difficulties faced by residents and visitors navigating the province’s rugged and mountainous terrain, where access to reliable transport has been a persistent challenge.
During the launch, M-ACTO introduced 10 new tourist service units that will serve all 13 municipalities of Benguet and other destinations across the Cordillera region—and even any point in the Philippines.
Officials said the expanded transport service is expected to boost local tourism, improve mobility, and bring renewed economic opportunities to remote communities that often struggle with limited transport options.
This milestone was made possible through the efforts of Nerie Garcia of NERIA TRANSPORT SERVICE, OPC in partnership with RED PHOENYX INTERNATIONAL INC, M-ACTO TRANSPORT CORP. CHERY & FOTON GMA CAVITE with BALIUAG & CLARK Company, and officials from the Provincial Government of Benguet. Their collaboration reflects a shared commitment to uplifting mountain communities and ensuring that residents no longer have to endure long waits or uncertain travel conditions.
Local leaders welcomed the new fleet as a symbol of progress—and hope—saying it will not only improve accessibility but also strengthen connections among Benguet’s far-flung villages.
With the launch of M-ACTO Transport Corp., people of Benguet can now look forward to safer, more reliable, and more comfortable travel—ushering in a future where even the most remote highland communities are within reach.
