THE Department of Justice (DOJ) said it is eyeing at least four groups operating e-sabong operations in its probe regarding the “missing sabungeros” case, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said.
He said that aside from the “Alpha” group, which is allegedly made up of lawmakers and local government officials, Remulla said there are three other groups involved in the case.
According to Remulla, there is not only the “Alpha” group but also the “Delta” group, “Charlie” group, and the “Bravo” group.
“They are just tiered according to the income stream that they receive out of this e-sabong industry. This is serious. This is serious. Corporate, corporate. Corporate killing,” exclaims Remulla.
He said many people want to join e-sabong because of the money.
“They don’t know the heavy price in exchange for the money they are taking. After all, many people have been killed,” according to the justice secretary.
