A 22-year-old man was killed and his cousin injured in a stabbing incident that erupted during a drinking session on the night of Saturday, June 14, 2025, in Sitio Liaban, Barangay Colo, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
The fatality was identified as Aljon Mendoza, while the injured victim was his 26-year-old cousin, Gerald Perpuse. Both were residents of the area.
According to Dinalupihan Police Chief Lt. Col. Marcelino Teloza, the two were drinking with three other men—Christian Alfonso, 28; Joven Sanque, 26; and Tomas Palason, 26—when a heated argument escalated into violence.
Perpuse was stabbed under his left armpit, while Mendoza sustained a fatal stab wound to the left side of his chest. He was rushed to J.C. Payumo Memorial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Jonathan Bautista.
All three suspects were immediately arrested and are currently in police custody.
Authorities are conducting further investigations to determine the motive behind the deadly altercation and to complete the necessary documentation.
