This Christmas season, Converge ICT Solutions Inc. once again opened its heart to the community by returning to the Children’s Home of Eucharistic Love and Kindness (CHELK) located in Pampanga. Their mission was to give a simple but meaningful gift—three desktop computers that will help brighten the days and widen the horizons of the children under CHELK’s care.
Rooted in malasakit and a belief in the power of technology to uplift lives, Converge said the donation reflects its continuing commitment to serve communities beyond connectivity.
“Guided by malasakit and a commitment to using technology for good, Converge strives to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. This Christmas, we continue that mission by giving and sharing—spreading hope and helping nurture and equip the next generation,” said Jay-Anne Encarnado, Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Converge.
The donation coincided with the company’s annual holiday outreach, led by Pampanga-based Converge employees who personally spent time with the children through Project Lingap, a volunteer initiative now in its fourth year. The employees hosted a Christmas party filled with games, laughter, and gift-giving—creating moments of joy that went beyond material presents.
“This effort is a meaningful way for us to give back and show that we truly care,” said Jeff Briones, Converge First Vice President and Head of the Network Technology Group, who led the activity. “For four years now, we’ve been happy to share our time and create joyful memories with these children. It’s a heartfelt way of ending the year—through generosity, compassion, and human connection.”
Converge’s return to CHELK also reflects its deep ties to Pampanga, the company’s hometown. The partnership began in 2021, when Converge first visited the orphanage for a Christmas gift-giving activity and turned over donations to help support the foundation’s permanent shelter.
The following year, in February 2022, the company donated learning tablets and provided internet connectivity to help support the children’s online education, in celebration of Safer Internet Month.
For more than three decades, CHELK has been a safe haven for orphaned, abandoned, and abused girls in Pampanga, providing them with shelter, education, and care. Today, the foundation continues to nurture around 20 children—offering not only protection, but also hope for a brighter future.
Through sustained acts of kindness and shared moments of care, Converge’s holiday visit served as a gentle reminder that the true spirit of Christmas lies in giving—especially when it helps light the way for those who need it most.
