Insta360 launches flagship X6 8K 360 camera in Philippines

Insta360 has officially launched the Insta360 X6 in the Philippines, bringing its latest flagship 8K 360-degree camera to local consumers, creators and professionals. The Philippine launch was marked by a media roundtable on 13 August 2026 at The Iron Fairies in Bonifacio Global City, where members of the media, creators and industry partners were given hands-on demonstrations of the new camera.

Positioned as an all-in-one imaging device, the X6 combines 360-degree capture, subject tracking, single-lens shooting and AI-powered editing in a compact camera designed for travel, adventure, professional content creation and everyday use. The camera features custom dual Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors, providing a 1-inch-equivalent 360 imaging experience with improved detail and low-light performance. It can record native 8K video at up to 50 frames per second, along with 10-bit color and in-camera Dolby Vision. Users can capture their surroundings in 360 degrees and select the desired framing later, record flat 4K footage using InstaFrame 2.0, or switch to single-lens mode for a more conventional action-camera experience. The X6 also comes with a 2,600mAh Xtreme Battery that provides up to 140 minutes of 8K30fps 360-degree recording. Its Star-Ridge cooling system is designed to maintain stable performance during extended 8K recording sessions.

The camera has 64GB of built-in storage, of which 47GB is usable, allowing users to begin recording without a microSD card. It is also compatible with more than 100 accessories for applications including motorcycle riding, cycling, diving, outdoor sports and travel.

A major addition to the X6 is Insta360 PanoMind, the company’s first 360-native artificial intelligence model designed to understand a complete spherical scene rather than a conventional flat video frame. Through the AI Director feature, the camera can analyze footage while charging and automatically produce highlight edits that are sent to the Insta360 app. Auto Edit 2.0, meanwhile, can combine one or more clips into a finished video with automated framing, camera movements, cuts, music and transitions. For professional users, the X6 supports I-Log and 10-bit recording, as well as Insta360 Studio and Insta360+ cloud-based editing tools.

“At Insta360, user feedback is one of our highest priorities,” according to Henry Hsu, Insta360 principal consultant. He said feedback from professional creators, action-sports users and everyday consumers helps the company identify features that are essential to different content-creation workflows.

“In many ways, our users are the co-designers of our next products, helping us create innovations that remain relevant to how content creation continues to evolve,” Hsu said.

Beyond the product launch, Insta360 Philippines said it is expanding its retail and community activities to give customers more opportunities to experience its cameras and learn how to use their features. The company plans to conduct hands-on workshops through authorized retail partners and community groups, with activities covering travel, motorcycle riding, cycling, outdoor sports, filmmaking and other creative pursuits.

“We also strongly believe that the customer experience should continue well beyond the purchase,” Hsu added, noting the company’s plans to expand its retail presence across key cities in the Philippines while continuing to engage users through workshops and community activities.

The Insta360 X6 now available in the Philippines via authorized Insta360 retailers nationwide and the company’s official online channels. The Standard Bundle is priced at PHP 45,390 and includes the X6, USB-C cable, protective pouch and lens cloth. The Essentials Bundle, priced at PHP 49,990, includes the X6, an additional Xtreme Battery, 114cm Invisible Selfie Stick, Lens Cap, Fast Charge Case, USB-C cable, protective pouch and lens cloth.
