Marking a new milestone in its 30th year, Enchanted Kingdom (EK) continues to strengthen its role in regional industry development as its Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Cynthia R. Mamon, Ph.D., was inducted as president of the PCCI-Laguna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (LCCI).
The induction ceremony for the newly elected LCCI officers was held on February 16 at Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna, led by Area Vice President Hoover Picar and Regional Governor Mary Ann Katigbak.
In accepting the role, Dr. Mamon pledged to focus on livelihood and labor concerns, corporate sustainability, community empowerment, and innovation with integrity. She noted that these priorities align with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) South Luzon’s guiding principles of Volunteerism, Excellence, Service, and Integrity (VESI).
“We look forward to transforming the lives of the people working for our companies and the communities we serve,” Mamon said.
Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, LCCI is a non-stock, non-profit, and non-government organization composed of Laguna-based small, medium, and large enterprises.
It aims to foster a stronger and more sustainable local economy while promoting growth, resilience, and competitiveness within the province’s business community.
Among those present during the ceremony were representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment – National Conciliation and Mediation Board IV-A, the Laguna Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEPIDO), and various PCCI chapters.
They were joined by past LCCI presidents and EK President and Chairman Cesar Mario O. Mamon.
An economic briefing by Prof. Ronilo Balbieran of the University of Asia and the Pacific followed the induction rites.
Even before her recent appointment, EK has maintained strong ties with LCCI, with Mr. Cesar Mario O. Mamon having previously served as LCCI president from 2006 to 2007.
Championing Tourism Development
Dr. Mamon was also reelected as president of the Laguna Tourism Council (LTC), officially assuming her new term during an oath-taking ceremony administered by Governor Sol Aragones on January 22 in Santa Cruz, Laguna.
The LTC is a provincial multi-sectoral body composed of government and private sector representatives tasked with developing Laguna into a premier tourism destination.
Since assuming leadership in 2023, Dr. Mamon has led efforts to promote tourism, culture, heritage, and the arts in collaboration with the provincial government and partner organizations nationwide.
The council also supports Laguna-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing platforms to showcase local products and crafts through various events and partnerships both within and outside the province.
Through these initiatives, Enchanted Kingdom continues to advance industry growth, sustainability, and tourism development in Laguna and beyond.
