The Quezon City Police District (QCPD), under the leadership of Police Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio, lauded the dedication of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) for their relentless campaign against illegal drugs, which led to the arrest of three drug suspects and the confiscation of ₱366,724 worth of shabu.
According to DDEU Chief Police Major Elvin Ballesteros, the suspects were identified as alias “Ferdinand,” 32; alias “Cornelio,” 29, both residents of Barangay Sauyo, Novaliches, Quezon City; and alias “James,” 35, a resident of Barangay San Agustin, Novaliches.
Based on the report, DDEU operatives conducted a buy-bust operation at around 9:35 p.m. on November 11, 2025, at Saturnina Compound, Barangay Sauyo, after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen about the suspects’ illegal drug activities. A police officer acted as a poseur-buyer and purchased ₱37,500 worth of shabu. Upon the pre-arranged signal, the suspects were immediately arrested.
Confiscated during the operation were 53.93 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱366,724, a cellular phone, a pouch, a Honda Click 125 motorcycle, and the marked buy-bust money.
A background check revealed that alias “Ferdinand” previously faced three cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), while alias “James” had prior cases for violations of R.A. 9165 and Presidential Decree 1602 (Anti-Illegal Gambling Law).
The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of R.A. 9165 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
Meanwhile, PCOL Silvio commended the operatives and renewed his call for community cooperation, saying,
“Ang tagumpay ng operasyon na ito ay nagpapatunay na ang QCPD ay hindi tumitigil sa pagsugpo sa illegal na droga. Magtulungan po tayo, QCitizens at QCPD laban sa krimen.”
