In honor of National Women’s Month 2025, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), under the leadership of PCOL Melecio M. Buslig, Jr., launched a 2-day free health care program for its female personnel. The initiative began on March 27, 2025, at the QCPD Gymnasium, Camp Karingal, Quezon City.
The event featured Dr. Marizel B. Wong, MD, District IV Health Officer of the Quezon City Health Department (QCHD), as the special guest.
PCOL Buslig, Jr. expressed his deep gratitude to Dr. Wong and underscored the importance of prioritizing health:
“Let us value our health as a precious asset that should never be neglected. A strong body and mind equip us for the challenges of both life and service. As women defenders of our nation, you deserve to take care of yourselves.”
As part of the program, the QCHD conducted an Orientation and Lecture on women’s health, followed by free medical services for 378 female QCPD personnel. The services included:
✅ Medical Examinations
✅ Vaccinations
✅ Family Planning Services
✅ Pre-natal Care for Pregnant Women
✅ Fertility Awareness and Counseling
✅ Eye Check-ups
This initiative reinforces QCPD’s commitment to women’s health and well-being, ensuring that female personnel receive the care and support they deserve.
