According to City of Meycauayan Public Information Office (PIO), former Bulacan provincial board member and chief of Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) Primitivo “Bokal Boy” Tamayo has died on August 25 due to complications of COVID-19.
In an official Facebook post released on Thursday, the city’s PIO has recalled the service Tamayo rendered to strengthen and enrich developing plans for Meycauayan.
Pusuant to Section 23 of the Republic Act No. 8491 or the “Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines”, the city hall of Meycauayan has flown its flag at half-mast as a sign of mourning and to extend their deepest condolence to the bereaved family.
Tamayo, who was first admitted and confined to a hospital due to diabetes, has passed away at the age of 72. His memorial service will be postponed until the middle of September as his family had to undergo the mandatory quarantine after being exposed and deemed close contacts of the late BPLO head.
